Seattle Skateboarding Youth Club
The purpose of “Seattle Skateboarding Youth Club” is to provide a season of scheduled skateboarding events for the younger generation of skateboarders in the Seattle area. While the 3 month program will emphasize on practicing, competing and progressing, the ultimate goal is to provide an opportunity for kids of all ages and abilities to be involved in a structured “club” or experience the feeling of being part of a skateboard “team”.
The league will be broken down by age group, not skill but there will be awards for every skater. Open practices will be held on the first 3 Wednesdays of every month (Tuesdays at Skatebarn) at different indoor skateparks beginning in January. There will be a competition at each of the parks on the fourth week of every month. All competitors will be rewarded points and there will be prizes for the top 5 finishers at each contest. I (Marshall Reid) and at least one qualified SSYC Instructor will be on site during practices to offer tips and encouragement to all of the kids. We will run the contests as well as provide an awards ceremony/barbecue skate jam at the end of the season.

**Bellevue Skate Park Membership is $8 for one year and this entitles SSYC Members to practice for FREE on Wednesdays from 6-9pm.

Total Cost Per Member:

$45 Practice Session Fees – 9 total ($30 BVSP Members)
$30 Competition Fees – 3 total
$225 - Entire cost over a 3 month period that will keep your child active in skateboarding throughout the winter months.
($150 is paid up front for SSYC Membership) the extra $75 is the projected cost of practices and contests.
****There will be limited scholarships available for children that need it. We do not want to leave any kids in the dust.
